Julia LeMense, J.D., LL.M, M.P.H., is an environmental attorney and disaster and humanitarian affairs consultant with Luisante Consulting. Prior to working as a consultant for non-governmental organizations and humanitarian organizations, Julia represented plaintiffs in the BP Oil Spill/Deepwater Horizon litigation as a senior attorney with a New York plaintiffs’ law firm. Julia directed a public interest, environmental, non-profit law firm based in Newark, New Jersey from 2007-2010. She has held faculty appointments at Vermont Law School (2003-2005) and Rutgers Law School-Newark (2005-2007)in their environmental and natural resources law clinics.
